Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum is a natural paradise located on a beautiful stretch of the Delaware River in Bensalem, PA, just north of Philadelphia. Andalusia is a great place to spend a day exploring history and nature.

Andalusia is closed for the 2025 season. We will reopen to the public on Monday, March 30th, 2026.
We are currently booking group tours for the 2026 season. Contact ayarsinsky@andalusiapa.org with any inquiries.

Photoshoots

No photoshoots allowed. Yes, you can take personal photos of your visit, but please refrain from any commercial, engagement, wedding, prom, or similar shoots. Photo equipment (tripods, drones, selfie sticks, etc.), wardrobe changes, and props are also prohibited. Please visit our guidelines page for more info.

Garden Hours

Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (AND SELECT SATURDAYS FROM 10:00 am – 5:00 PM)

Stroll the spectacular formal gardens and native woodlands on a self-guided tour of the Andalusia grounds. Explore the remnants of an 1830s greenhouse and other structures that dot the 50-acre property. Take in sweeping views of the Delaware River and bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn or under the shade of a tree.

$15 per person. Free for children 12 and under.

Does not include access to the Big House.
Tickets are non-refundable.

Big House Tour plus Gardens Admission

Tour Times

MONDAYS, Tuesdays & Fridays 10:30 am, 11:30 AM & 1:00 pm (plus 2:30 pm on select Saturdays)

On this one-hour tour, you’ll discover exquisite interiors and hear stories of the family who lived at Andalusia from the 1790s to the 1970s, including Nicholas Biddle, President of the Second Bank of the United States. The Big House is a designated National Historic Landmark with a unique art collection, offering an unparalleled look into our nation’s past and an inspiring escape for visitors today.

$30 per person. Free for children 12 and under.

2026 Tickets on Sale in March

PRIVATE & GROUP TOURS

Andalusia is open year-round, Monday through Friday, for private and group tours. Bus parking is available for large groups (up to 56 people), which are encouraged to come on Wednesdays and Thursdays. During winter months, Andalusia can only accommodate small groups (up to 12 people).

Please note that a non-refundable deposit of $150 is required for all private groups. Due to demand, Andalusia cannot offer rain dates.

Picnics & Dining

Picnics are encouraged at Andalusia. Benches and chairs are available for seating throughout the property, and blankets are allowed on the lawn or meadow. A limited selection of snacks and drinks can be purchased in the Visitor Center.

The grounds and gardens at Andalusia offer a large spectrum of beauty for commercial photography, video, and film shoots.

Private designers, large apparel companies, and major national magazines have taken advantage of Andalusia’s serene beauty for their photoshoots. For all questions related to photography, please email andalusiapa@gmail.com.

Please note that wedding, engagement, and similar types of photography, whether taken by a professional or non-professional photographer, are prohibited except for couples holding their wedding at Andalusia.
